Here is a picture of the poster up at the Paoli, PA train station. That’s the last stop on Philadelphia’s “affluent Main Line”. There are posters up along the entire line.

2006 Philadelphia Pen Show Promotion

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE DOING TO MAKE THIS THE BEST-ATTENDED PHILADELPHIA PEN SHOW EVER.

(WE’RE MAKING IT THE BEST-ADVERTISED PEN SHOW EVER.)

These “two-sheet” Pen Show advertising posters are already up on ten commuter rail platforms all along Philadelphia’s affluent Main Line.

On Thursday, our first newspaper ad (of a two-week schedule) appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Next week, our radio schedule begins with traffic report sponsorships on KYW-1060, Philly’s highest-rated (and only all-news) radio station; and with sponsorship of Morning Edition and All Things Considered on WHYY-FM, Philadelphia’s primary NPR station.

The combination of this media is designed to reach the most upscale demographic audience, whether they commute by car, or train…or don’t commute at all.

We’re promoting a spectacular Grand Prize give-away of an Aurora 85th Anniversary Fountain Pen which retails for $1,200. And for the first time, we’re offering FREE 2-hour Calligraphy Workshops with FREE Sheaffer Calligraphy Kits given to the 50 pen show registrants who attend the Workshops each day.

Plus we sent out press kits to almost 30 local media outlets. We’re doing all we can to draw a large public audience. We’d venture to say that this is probably the best-publicized pen show, ever.
There are still a few tables left. If you haven’t reserved yours yet, call Bertram’s Inkwell and get in on the action. Philadlephia is a great, and wonderfully hospitable city, with some of the country’s finest restaurants, and fabulous sight-seeing, if you can pull yourself away from the pen tables.
We hope to see you there!
