Victorian Era Pencil Exhibit

The Victorian Era (1837 -1901, with writing instruments loosely defined from 1825-1920) produced some of the unique pencil designs in history. Joe 'The Pencil Guy' Nemecek would like to invite you to an important display of these pencils. These figural/novelty pencils are truly amazing in the various ways that they provide amusement. Pull the tail on the pig, and the lead pops out of its mouth. The spinning top tip pulls out from the body revealing five collapsible sections to increase length for comfortable writing. Some pencils are sliders, and by simply moving the nozzle out and back, are ready for use. Mr. Nemecek will be on hand to answer any of your questions about these any many more interesting pieces. This is a tremendous opportunity to view a fascinating and fun facet of history.
