Philadelphia Pen Show, January 22-24, 2010

Independence Hall Philadelphia

Independence Hall adorns the reverse of the $100 bill. That is appropriate because the Philadelphia Pen show is about saving and making money.

Weather for the Pen Show

The Philadelphia Pen Show, considered by many to be one of the largest pen shows in the U.S., will be sponsored this year by Visconti Pens of Florence, Italy.

Visconti founder and chairman, Dante Del Vecchio, is flying to Philadelphia for the sole purpose of introducing Visconti's new Homo Sapiens collection of pens. These pens are made from volcanic lava, can withstand boiling hot temperatures yet are cool to the touch, and come with a 23 karat palladium nib flexible and capable of calligraphic writing.

Visconti will also feature its Knights Templar fountain pen, a limited edition of  312, named after the Middle Age knights made infamous during the Crusades.

The show will also feature calligraphy classes, a course on pen collecting, and a lecture for pen manufacturers and distributors entitled, "Marketing Pens in the 21st Century."

Visitors can attend for $8.00 per day or sign up for a three-day pass for $20.00.

Exhibitors can purchase table for $195 with no limit on tables.

The Philadelphia Pen Show will be held at the Sheraton Philadelphia Center City Hotel. If you are staying at the hotel, ask for the Philadelphia Pen Show rate.

Visitors can pay at the door. Exhibitors can order tables now, see Downloads.
